Where do we go from here?

For this artwork, we took inspiration from the abundance of people and businesses in our community taking positive action in response to climate change and making an impact in our region in a green, positive way. The question ‘Where do we go from here?’ came about when we thought about how an individual can make a change, and we concluded that they can’t – effective change happens within a community, collectively. The artwork uses railway imagery to show how essential community and connection is in activism and creating effective change. This piece depicts 28 different green organisations that can be accessed by anyone travelling on the Liverpool and Manchester railway line. Our intention is to demonstrate the many connections available to us in our community in the fight against climate change, as well as to simply show that there are a lot of green organisations already out there making a difference. You are not alone.
